Every member has one permanent, globally unique ID. Certificates and records are anchored to it — never to an email or phone that can change.

Privacy by design

Sensitive data like government-ID numbers is never shown. Only status, issuer and timestamp are exposed — and only what the holder allows.

Every verification is hashed and recorded. Revoked credentials are flagged instantly, and past verifications remain auditable forever.

Do I need an account to look up a profile?

No. Profile lookup works fully signed-out. Signing in adds a lookup balance display and lets you view your own profile for free.

What’s the difference between a SkillNexus ID and a legacy ID?

A SkillNexus ID is the current format — SNX-YYYY-XXXXXXXXXX. A legacy ID is an older identifier (LRN-…) issued before the current format. Both resolve to the same anchored profile, so you can use either.

Does looking up a profile cost me anything?

Looking up a profile you don’t own consumes 1 lookup credit from the profile owner — never from you. Owners always view their own profile for free. If the owner has no credits, you’ll see a message explaining it.

Why is a profile sometimes “private” or “connections only”?

Members control their own visibility. When a profile is private or restricted to connections, you’ll see a teaser with their name, avatar and SkillNexus ID — but not the full professional evidence.

Is the data I enter stored?

Only the verification outcome is recorded. The raw identifier you enter is never displayed publicly and is never sold.

Can I look up my own profile?

Yes — sign in and open your dashboard, or use this tool directly. Owner-side views are always free and never consume credits.
